Principal

Five years at Lords have been more than a journey of leadership; they have been a journey of learning, growing, inspiring, and building a community where every child is encouraged to believe, achieve and shine.

MEET THE PRINCIPAL

Hello! I am Ms. Israt Ara Mamun, Principal of Lords An English Medium School. I am an educator by passion, a lifelong learner, and someone who believes that every child deserves to learn in an environment where they feel valued, inspired, and empowered.

With more than 19 years of experience in education, I have had the privilege of working with children, young people, teachers, and diverse school communities. My professional journey has taken me through teaching, academic leadership, and school administration, including my experience at Bangladesh International Tutorial and as a Head at Yale International School.

Over the years, my perspective on education has evolved. While Science was once one of my favourite subjects, my experiences with young learners gradually deepened my interest in early childhood education, child development, creativity, and students' emotional well-being. I particularly enjoy connecting with children, understanding their individual needs, and creating opportunities for them to learn through curiosity, creativity, and experience.

# I am currently pursuing my second Masters in Mental Health and Psychological Support at Brac University.

Throughout my career, I have participated in numerous professional development programmes, training sessions, conferences, and workshops, particularly in education, leadership, and early childhood development.

I strongly believe that an educator must never stop learning. Every new experience, every student, and every colleague brings an opportunity to grow.

Nurturing Excellence at Lords An English Medium School My Journey at Lords

It has been a truly meaningful journey at Lords An English Medium School, and I am immensely proud to have completed five successful academic years as part of this institution.

These five years have been filled with learning, challenges, achievements, celebrations, and countless memorable moments. More importantly, they have been years of growth-not only for our students, but for our teachers, leadership team, and the school as a whole.

At Lords, I have had the opportunity to work closely with our students, teachers, parents, and management to strengthen our academic practices, encourage extracurricular engagement, improve communication, and build a positive school culture.

I consider our achievements during these years a shared success. Every academic accomplishment, student achievement, school event, improvement, and positive parent experience has been made possible through teamwork and collective commitment.

My Educational Philosophy

I believe that education goes beyond textbooks, examinations, and grades.

A truly successful school should develop confident learners, responsible individuals, compassionate human beings, and future leaders. Our children need knowledge, but they also need curiosity, resilience, creativity, empathy, integrity, and the confidence to express themselves.

At Lords, our goal is to create a learning environment where students are encouraged to ask questions, explore ideas, make mistakes, discover their strengths, and become independent thinkers.

We strive for academic excellence while giving equal importance to character building, creativity, communication, collaboration, and social responsibility.

Looking Ahead

As we look towards the future, I am excited about the next chapter of Lords. Education is constantly evolving, and so must we.

Our focus will continue to be on strengthening academic standards, embracing innovative teaching and technology, supporting our teachers through continuous professional development, and creating meaningful learning experiences for every child.

I am grateful to our Managing Director, respected Directors, dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and, most importantly, our wonderful students for being an integral part of this journey.

Five years at Lords have taught me that a school is much more than a building-it is a community built on trust, teamwork, learning, and shared dreams.

As Principal, my commitment is to continue nurturing an environment where every child feels seen, every teacher feels valued, and every learner is encouraged to believe in their own potential.

Together, let us continue to nurture excellence, inspire possibilities, and shape a brighter future for every child at Lords.
